NFL Power Rankings Week 17: The Final Countdown

NFL Power Rankings Week 17: Sportsbook Online

No. 1 Indianapolis Colts, 14-1

The Colts are rolling into the playoffs but will not go far without Peyton Manning, as we saw them stumble in the final quarter against the Jets without their star quarterback at the helm. The Colts should have gone for the undefeated season. Yesterday stunk for all Colts fans, as he game against the Jets was just silly. I am glad that the Jets were able to beat the second string of the Colts. Hooray.

No. 2 San Diego Chargers, 12-3

The Chargers have won 10 in a row and are the hottest team in football not from Indianapolis. These two teams will play for the AFC Championship.

No. 3 Minnesota Vikings, 11-3

The Vikings have had a couple of bad outings, but overall, things look good for Minnesota. If they reach the Super Bowl, they actually have the best chance in their history to win one.

2010 NFL Picks: Colts -350 Favorites in AFC South Odds

The Indianapolis Colts remind everyone of the old Timex watch commercials as they “take a licking and keep on ticking” despite their age and questionable defense. Indianapolis has opened as a -350 favorite in NFL picks at online sportsbooks to win the division in 2010 AFC South odds with the Houston Texans +300 and Tennessee Titans +525 as the second NFL betting favorites. Sportsbook have made the Jacksonville Jaguars a +2250 longshot to win the AFC south in 2010. Indianapolis flirted with an undefeated season last year as they won their first 14 games before coach Jim Caldwell tanked the 15th game in a loss to the New York Jets.

The Colts did rebound to make the Super Bowl but were outclassed 17-31 by the New Orleans Saints. The defense ranked 18th in NFL picks but quarterback Peyton Manning has proven to be enough to keep the Colts in contention each year. Houston continually is touted as the next up and coming team and yet they fall a little

2010 Dallas Cowboys: NFL Schedule and Odds

It would be hard to imagine a better way to start the 2010 NFL schedule than with an old fashioned shootout between long time NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins and that is exactly what NFL betting will offer on September 12th for NBC Sunday Night Football in Mike Shanahan’s home debut as Redskin coach. Dallas’ home opener is September 19th against the Chicago Bears with a trip to Houston on September 26th for a match-up with the Texans. Dallas has an early week 4 bye on the schedule before hosting Tennessee on September 10th. Online sportsbooks have the Cowboys 10-1 favorites in 2011 Super Bowl odds with a regular season win total of 10 OVER (-125).

Dallas will seek playoff revenge for last year in a rematch at Minnesota against the Vikings on October 17th and then host their NFC East rival New York Giants in NFL odds for Monday Night Football October 25th. The Halloween NFL schedule will bring the Jacksonville Jaguars

2010 Kansas City Chiefs: NFL Schedule and Odds

The Kansas City Chiefs enter the season with hopes of dramatic improvement after a 4-12 season last year and their 2010 NFL schedule sets up to make that possible. Kansas City will open the newly refurbished Arrowhead Stadium on September 13th in an AFC West Monday Night showdown against the San Diego Chargers, one of the NFL betting favorites in odds to win the AFC conference. That is followed by a winnable game at the Cleveland Browns on September 19th and then a home game against the San Francisco 49ers on September 26th. Online sportsbooks have the Chiefs 100-1 longshots in 2011 Super Bowl odds to win the championship, 50-1 to win the AFC conference and have an over/under regular season win total of 6.5 OVER (-120).

The Chiefs then have an early week 4 bye this year and will resume the 2010 NFL schedule on October 10th with a game at the AFC champion Indianapolis Colts. Kansas City will then travel to Houston to take on the Texans October

Sports Celeb and Athlete Gossip and Rumors – Pro Jocks Gone Wild

* Adam “Pacman” Jones: Pacman of Tennessee was suspended for the 2007 NFL season and Chris Henry of Cincinnati for eight games recently. Police in Las Vegas recommended felony and misdemeanor charges against Jones after a fight and shooting at a strip club paralyzed one man.

* Chris Henry: Henry was arrested four times in a 14-month span, resulting in two benchings by coach Marvin Lewis and a two-game league suspension. He was one of nine Bengals arrested in nine months.

* John Amaechi: While numerous gay communities across the world are applauding the courage and effort that former NBA player, Amaechi displayed by coming out, rumor has it that he didn’t do it to make the type of statement delicately portrayed by the media. With a new book conveniently coming out, rumor has it that Amaechi needed a new way to bring in the money, and spilling the beans certainly got him the attention. It worked- he has now received a commercial

Atlanta Falcons 2008 Season Preview

July marks the beginning of the Atlanta Falcons 2008 pre-season as training camp official starts on July 25 and runs until August 15th at the tea’s Flowery Branch headquarters. Once again the Falcons must start from scratch on what seems a constant rebuilding process. This year looks to be a better start with the hiring of former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator, Mike Smith and new general manager Thomas Dimitroff who arrives from the New England Patriots organization. On the offensive side of the ball, new offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey looks to install more of a smash mouth style offense centered around the running game while new defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder looks to run an attacking 4-3 defensive scheme featuring zone coverages and creative blitz packages.

On the offensive side of the ball newly drafted quarterback Matt Ryan will try to beat out last year holdovers Chris Redman and Joey Harrington for the starting quarterback

NFL Week 15 Power Rankings

Week 15 NFL Power Rankings: All 32 Teams

The NFL is great. Why is it great? Because (and excuse the cliché) on any given Sunday, any team beat any team. It’s impossible to figure out who will beat who. The Redskins lose to the Lions, yet come within a chip shot field goal of beating the Saints. The Jets beat the Patriots, but lose to the Bills. The Packers are a top five offensive team and the No. 1 defense and lost to the Buccaneers. The Raiders can lose to the Chiefs, but then beat the Eagles and Bengals. And I haven’t even mentioned the defending Super Bowl champions losing to the Chiefs, Raiders and Browns. Yes, the NFL is great and the final three weeks of the 2009 season are going to be fun to watch. Four 7-6 teams in the AFC fighting for just one playoff spot while things in the NFC are just as competitive. With 15 weeks under our belts, here are the latest NFL Power Rankings.

Teams’ previous ranking in (

NFL Power Rankings Week 12: Colts are on Top

NFL Power Rankings Week 12: When compared to the Week 11 Power Rankings, there are few changes occurred in Week 12 Power Rankings. Indianapolis Colts moved to top followed by Saints. The Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans will have no impact on the week 12 power rankings.

Here is the finalized list for week 12 power rankings

NFL Week 12 Power Rankings

1. Indianapolis Colts (10-0) – The Colts never look that incredible but they keep beating playoff teams and that’s good enough to be #1 on our week 12 NFL power rankings.

2. New Orleans Saints (10-0) – New Orleans still has issues on defense but their offense is top notch and they deserve to be up here with the big dogs.

3. Minnesota Vikings (9-1) – I still think the Vikings are going to slip up and struggle at some point but their 9-1 record is good enough for the #3 spot
